Description
The Organics Processing Facility (OPF) will serve as the primary site for processing materials collected through the City’s Green Cart program and will replace the existing Compost Depot as a public waste drop-off location. The facility will be designed to process up to 40,000 tonnes per year of source-separated organic (SSO) material, including food and yard waste, into high-quality Class A compost using Aerated Static Pile (ASP) composting technology with a cover system.
