Summary
The Ghana Tree Crop Diversification Project (GTCDP), funded by a US$200 million World Bank IDA credit, seeks an Environmental Specialist to provide technical leadership on environmental and climate safeguards. The specialist will report to the Project Coordinator and ensure all project activities comply with Ghanaian environmental requirements and the World Bank Environmental and Social Framework (ESF). Key responsibilities include implementing and monitoring environmental, social, and occupational health and safety instruments (ESMF, IPMP, LMP, SEP, ESCP), conducting environmental and social impact assessments, and advising the Project Implementation Unit on regulatory compliance across cocoa, coconut, cashew, and rubber value chains.
