Request for Information (RFI) Enterprise Network Access Control Solution

Summary

Shared Services Canada (SSC), through its Connectivity and Security Services Branch (CSSB), is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for an Enterprise Network Access Control (NAC) solution. This is Phase 1 of a procurement process intended to standardize NAC deployment across SSC's management network and support Government of Canada IT infrastructure. SSC currently operates multiple NAC solutions and seeks to establish a single NAC standard to enhance operational efficiency, improve security posture, simplify lifecycle management, and support consistent network access control across the enterprise. The RFI seeks industry feedback and input to refine preliminary requirements before potential future solicitation. The scope includes supply of NAC appliances, software licenses, and associated services over an initial seven-year period, with options to extend for up to five additional one-year periods. Suppliers are invited to comment on draft documents (Statement of Work, List of Deliverables, List of Requirements, Test Plan) and respond to specific questions for industry consideration. The desired outcome is a secure, scalable, centrally-managed NAC platform that provides centralized authentication, authorization, device compliance validation, and policy-based access controls. The solution must integrate with existing GC infrastructure and support long-term management and modernization of SSC-managed networks.
