Summary

Shared Services Canada (SPC) is seeking pricing and supply of Microchip/Microsemi licenses for their S600 NTP (Network Time Protocol) servers. The organization currently operates S600 servers that rely on local authentication and self-signed certificates, and use obsolete cryptographic protocols. This procurement is necessary to achieve Treasury Board policy compliance by enabling Active Directory account integration, updating certificates, and upgrading to compliant SSL/TLS cryptographic protocols. The requirement is critical for maintaining network infrastructure security and regulatory adherence. SPC intends to award a single contract resulting from this solicitation. The RFQ is subject to the Canadian Free Trade Agreement.

Description

SSC owns Microchip/Microsemi S600 NTP servers for use on its networking infrastructure. The S600s currently rely on local authentication and self signed certificates. Furthermore the s600s in their default configuration use deprecated cryptographic protocols. We require these licences in order to conform to Treasury board guidelines. Failure to acquire these licences would leave this service out of compliance with TBS policy. To reiterate, we need these licences to support AD Account integration...
