Summary

This Request for Quotation (RFQ) is issued by Shared Services Canada on behalf of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED/CIPO) to procure three new custom Virtual Machine Hosts (VMHs). The requirement consists of two storage machines and one GPU machine, all to be custom-configured Supermicro servers. These VMHs will support CIPO's virtual environment for Patent, Trademarks, Industrial Designs, and the ICU, with each machine capable of supporting approximately 200 virtual machines at production quality and 24/7 operation. The procurement is competitive and subject to multiple trade agreements including CFTA, CPTPP, CETA, and WTO-GPA. The deliverables must be received on or before October 31, 2026, at 235 Queen Street, Ottawa. The contractor will also provide one year of hardware maintenance and support services.
