Summary
The Federal Republic of Somalia's Ministry of Finance is seeking an Industrial Development Advisor to support the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) under the SPRING project, funded by the World Bank (US$105 million). The advisor will help implement industrial policies, formalize businesses, improve export readiness, develop Special Economic Zones, strengthen intellectual property administration, and advance regional trade integration through Somalia's accession to the East African Community and WTO. This is a key component of Somalia's private sector-led growth initiative.
Description
Background: In May 2025, the Federal Republic of Somalia, through its Ministry of Finance (MoF) launched the Somalia Productive, Resilient, and Inclusive Growth (SPRING) project.
