A couple of years ago, we started bidding on government contracts ourselves. Not as a side project. As a real part of our business.
We quickly realized the process is broken for small companies. The opportunities are scattered across a dozen portals. The RFPs are 200 pages long. You spend weeks on a proposal with no idea if you're even competitive. And the companies that win? They have dedicated bid teams, procurement managers, and years of institutional knowledge. The rest of us are figuring it out between client work and everything else.
So we built a process. We figured out how to find the right opportunities, how to read what evaluators actually care about, how to write proposals that score well, and how to avoid wasting time on bids we were never going to win. It worked. We got shortlisted. We won.
Then we started talking to other small companies — IT shops, engineering firms, consultancies, training providers — and heard the same thing over and over. “We know we should be bidding on government work. We just don't know how.”
That's why TenderIQ exists.
What we actually do
We took everything we learned — the process, the patterns, the mistakes — and built it into a platform. TenderIQ monitors every major Canadian procurement portal, uses AI to read and analyze RFPs, generates proposals mapped to evaluation criteria, and scores them before you submit.
But the technology is only part of it. We also work directly with clients through our Guided and Concierge services. Real procurement specialists who review your pipeline, help you decide what to bid on, and make sure your proposals are competitive before they go out.
We work with a network of specialists across data, AI, procurement, and government consulting. That experience goes into everything we build — from the way we structure proposal templates to the competitive intelligence in our Sector Dashboard.
